About the goal & keeping this map current

The goal is to complete a half marathon or longer in each of the 50 U.S. states. Each state counts once toward the goal, even when there are several finishes there.

This map is a dated snapshot. Updates can be added from Buck’s race tracker, confirmed conversations, or verified race results. It does not automatically sync with Athlinks.

This log records 25 finishes: 9 marathons, 1 ultra, 14 half marathons, and 1 triathlon. Running races cover 15 distinct U.S. states, plus Washington, D.C. and Ontario. The triathlon is recorded separately and does not count toward the 50-state running goal. Each U.S. state counts only once. Event names and dates come from Buck’s log and linked results. Honolulu uses the official race date of December 8, 2019.
